We want you to know what you are putting on your body. Here is a list of the ingredients that go into our body care products:
Allantoin: Derived from the comfrey plant, this emollient moisturizes, soothes, and softens skin.
Aloe Leaf Juice: Anti- inflammatory, alleviates dry, itchy skin
Apricot Oil: This is an emollient- rich oil. Anti- inflammatory, protects skin barrier, and helps reduce fine lines.
Avocado Oil: Emollient, strengthens skins lipid barrier, high in vitamins that contribute to skin cell renewal, and protect skin from harsh elements
BTMS: A conditioning and emulsifying agent that helps prevent that greasy feeling you get when using certain lotions/ body butters.
Camellia Oil: Nutrient dense as it is high in essential vitamins, minerals, omega- 9 fats, and antioxidants. Improves skin elasticity, protects against environmental damage, and helps prevent wrinkles.
Caprylyl Glycol: Derived from coconut, this ingredient conditions skin and is a humectant. It also has properties that make it a great preservative.
Castor Oil: Humectant, draws moisture to the skin. Also creates a nice lather in soap.
Cetearyl Alcohol: Not the alcohol you might be thinking of. This is actually a fatty alcohol that is used as an emollient, emulsifier, and to help stabilize the consistency of the product.
Cetyl Esters: An emollient that creates a thicker feeling butter
Coconut Fruit Extract: Humectant, keeps skin hydrated, highly absorbent
Coconut Milk: Used in our soap. High in fatty acids, removes impurities from skin, replenishes skin, and it's an antibacterial.
Coconut Oil: Reduces inflammation, hydrates skin, antibacterial, and anti-fungal. In soap, it helps cleanse skin and gives the bar a good lather.
Colloidal Oats: Anti- inflammatory, soothes dry and itchy skin, softens skin
Cupuacu Butter: Restores elasticity, studies have found that it keeps skin moisturized for over 8 hours, very hydrating
Emulsifying Wax: Used to bind water and oils, stabilizes, makes product more creamy
Grapefruit Essential Oil: Used for its uplifting scent
Hyaluronic Acid: An optimal skin hydrator. This ingredient can hold up to 1000x its own weight in water. It's also a humectant and protects skin from environmental stressors.
Jojoba Oil: Hydrates, anti- inflammatory, good for sensitive skin, balances natural oil production
Lavender Essential Oil: Soothing to skin, promotes relaxation
Lemon Essential Oil: Anti-bacterial, anti-fungal
Macadamia Oil: Helps prevent premature aging, easily absorbed, regenerates new skin cells
Mango Butter: High in vitamins A, C & E, soothes skin, commonly used to help psoriasis and eczema
Manuka Essential Oil: Anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, promotes relaxation, similar to tea tree but better
Mica: Used to create color in soap
Olive Oil: High in oleic acid, softens and conditions skin
Olive Squalane: Mimics skins natural sebum, minimizes fine lines, softens skin
Palm Oil: Creates a high lather, hard bar of soap. High in vitamins A & E, softens skin, and helps fight free radicals. There is a lot of controversy around palm oil, but you can be assured that we only source from RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certified growers. We source from a company that grows and harvests from smallholder farms in Ghana. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.
Patchouli Essential Oil: Promotes skin cell regeneration, therapeutically it is very grounding
Peppermint Essential Oil: Soothes itchy skin, encourages mental clarity
Phenoxyethanol: A safe preservative
Pumpkin Seed Oil: High in omega 3 & 6 acids, zinc, and vitamins C & E. Retains moisture, improves skin tone and elasticity, high in antioxidants
Raspberry Fruit Extract: Protects skin from water loss, soothing, anti-aging
Rosehip Oil: High in Vitamins A, C, and E, promotes skin cell renewal, brightens skin, softens fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin elasticity
Rosemary Essential Oil: Encourages clarity, anti- inflammatory
Shea Butter: Great for all skin types, moisturizing, reduces swelling and inflammation
Titanium Dioxide: Creates a brighter color in soap
Vanilla Fruit Extract: High in antioxidants that help protect skin
Vegetable Glycerin: Attracts water and holds it in the skin, humectant
Vitamin E: Strengthens and protects skins barrier, antioxidant
